The Utah Office of Museum Services provides the following additional services:

OMS publishes a written brochure containing basic information about all the museums in Utah; these brochures are available for museums and travel centers to distribute.

Museum Directory

An online directory is contained in this webiste.

A Web Page is provided to each museum in conjunction with our online directory. It contains images and basic information about the museum and is linked to the museum's own website if one exists.

Celebrate Your Museum

Celebrate your museum (promoted in conjunction with the Utah Museum Association and the International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers) is a one day celebration in which all museums in Utah are open and have special activities and events. OMS works toward marketing museums throughout the state, and will provide assistance to museums as requested.

Museum Treasure Hunt

OMS, in conjunction with the Utah State Board of Education, provides a Museum Treasure Hunt brochure for grade school children. This brochure may be downloaded and printed by museums, teachers, and museum visitors.

Museum Needs Survey

Surveys of museum needs in Utah are conducted in conjunction with the Utah Museum Association and the International Society Daughters of Pioneers. These survey results reveal the needs and interests of Utah museums.

Traveling Exhibits

OMS can provide information on traveling exhibits that are available for museums to use or rent.
