Utah Public Art Program Opportunities
The Utah Public Art Program, in partnership with Southern Utah University and the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management, requests qualifications from Utah artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork(s) for the new SUU Music Center in Cedar City, Utah. This project is open to artists/artist teams residing in or with connections to the state of Utah.
The Art Selection Committee will be looking for an artist who is able to augment the experience within the building by creating a work that enhances the carefully designed architectural elements, using the features of the building to their benefit in providing an impactful audience experience. Suggestions include the outdoor plaza space; on the walls of the interior of the south lobby; suspended in the interior of the south lobby; incorporated into the functional elements of the building; or distributed throughout the common spaces of the building.

⊗ The Salt Lake City Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, and Bloomberg Philanthropies invite artists and organizations from Utah, or with ties to Utah, to apply for funding to participate in the ‘Wake the Great Salt Lake’ which will distribute grants for temporary public art addressing the shrinking Great Salt Lake.

Clark County Parks and Recreation Department’s Public Arts Office in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a professional level artist or team, to create an outdoor, non-representational, double mural at the Clark County Family Court within Clark County Family Courts and Services Center.

The City of Elk Grove, California invites artists and artist teams to submit statements of qualifications for the Library Public Art Project; the creation of a pedestrian-scale sculpture(s) or an installation to be integrated into a plaza at the front of the building.

The City of Dania Beach, Florida is accepting submittals from artists to prequalify for inclusion in its Public Art Roster for consideration in future public art projects.

The Montpelier Descendants Committee and The Montpelier Foundation are seeking letters of interest and supporting materials from qualified landscape architects, architects, and/or artists, as individuals or in teams, to develop a design for a memorial at the Montpelier Burial Ground of the Enslaved at Montpelier in Orange, Virginia.

The City of Las Cruces Public Art program in New Mexico, seeks an artist or artist team, to create a site-specific wayfinding outdoor art piece to promote the forthcoming Fire Station #9 and reflect the history and ethos of the firefighting community.
